UPDATE: JUNE 27, 2009

Well the past few weeks have been real crazy…no real updates for the site, but lots going on in the world of DMND.

A couple weeks ago I did some work with HOT 104.1, the finest Hip Hop radio station in St. Louis, at Super Jam 2, hosted at Verizon Ampitheatre. Not only was my first time at Super Jam and Verizon a blast, but I also had unlimited access through out the entire venue. Was I on stage at all? Every chance I got (while I wasn’t documenting the live interviews happening at the radio booth, of course). Fortunately for me, the interviews only lasted until 7:30, and I had the rest of the evening to abuse my artist pass and chill on the side of the stage with the likes of Yo Gotti, Keri Hilson, Nelly & The St. Lunatics, and Young Jeezy. I must say though, the other times I’ve seen Nelly & The St. Lunatics and Young Jeezy were much better….but thats the different between festivals and single concerts I guess.

I also did some random filming for another Red Bull event last weekend. Documenting a small softball championship, and roasting all day in the sun was well worth the $100 dollars and 36 free Redbull’s I got to walk away with.

Now for some top secret news to all of you who didn’t know this was going on…. Over the past two months, I have been working very hard with some St. Louis artists known as The Middle Class. After more meetings than I can remember and a good 40 hours of creating storyboards with Nick Missel, we all teamed up and shot their first music video for “Broken Hearts”. The past two days have been very tiring and hot, but the footage is looking awesome. We have one more scene to shoot (just for 20 seconds of the song) and then all the video will have been shot. I have started piecing the rest of it together and so far I really like what we’ve created. A very special thanks to my friend Zak Litrell for coming out to help on set. I’m sure you will start seeing stuff he’s worked on popping up all around. Also Nick Missel, one of my best friends, I couldn’t have done this without your help. Keep an eye out for his art in a museum near you, and keep checking back for some of his photography on DMNDTV. As for The Middle Class… Shawn, Amir, Kiara, and Bryant, it’s been an awesome journey creating this music video. I hope you guys had as much fun as I did, and hopefully this video will put us all another step ahead of everyone who doubted us. Thanks for all your help, the video will be done soon. Keep an eye out!
